COMBATING THE CURRENT DENGUE EPIDEMIC BY THE PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT

The Public Health Department of Colombo Municipal Council is actively carrying out numerous programs in order to control and minimize the spread of Dengue.

The Chief Medical officer of Health Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni and his staff have organized teams to inspect and eradicate mosquito breeding areas in the city of Colombo. The Rapid Deployment Team attends to the areas as soon as a case of Dengue is notified to our department.
