On July 13, 2025, the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) was proud to be part of this inspiring initiative that promotes healthier lifestyles and a greener urban environment.

While permanent cycling lanes are still on the horizon, today marked a meaningful first step towards sustainable city transport.

As part of the event, tool kits were distributed to local bicycle mechanics—empowering them to continue offering essential repair services for future Cycling Sundays.

We were honored by the presence of the Hon. Governor, and thrilled that our Her Worship the Mayor, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, and CMC Team joined the ride themselves!
