Immediate measures by CMC Fire fighters

A clothing store at a six-store building in the 2nd Cross Street, Pettah was caught with a massive fire on October 27, 2023. Swinging into action, the Fire Services Department of the Colombo Municipal Council dispatched 11 fire engines with 45 firefighters. The team split into two and worked at their best to tackle the flames blazing inside the shop. The employees and customers who were trapped inside the building were finally rescued without causing damages. The relentless efforts of the CMC firefighters was remarkably exhibited in this mission as well.
