The 74th Independence Day is commemorated on 04th February 2022 with the theme of “Prosperous Motherland that Overcome Challenges”. In paroral with this celebration Ministry of Home Affairs has organized a tree planting program. It was started yesterday (01.02.2022) and will run up to 06.02.2022. The ongoing tree project of the Colombo Municipal Council, “Let’s Invest a Tree to Colombo” joined with the above program for the success. Municipal Commissioner, Mrs. Roshanie Dissanayake (Attorney-at-Law) and other CMC officials, yesterday (01.02.2022) joined the event to plant trees of “Na” and “Rukkathana” in Viharamahadevi Park and Dharmapala Mawatha.
