Courtesy Visit of the Country Manager of the World Bank in Sri Lanka to the Colombo Municipal Council

On August 13, 2025, Mr. Gevorg Sargsyan, Country Manager of the World Bank in Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy visit to the Colombo Municipal Council, accompanied by senior officials from the World Bank Sri Lanka Office.

The purpose of the visit was to extend warm congratulations to Her Worship the Mayor of Colombo, Ms. Vraie Cally Balthazaar, on her recent accomplishments and leadership.

Her Worship the Mayor graciously received the delegation, joined by the Deputy Mayor, the Municipal Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner (Engineering Services), and the Municipal Secretary.

The meeting marked a significant gesture of goodwill and ongoing cooperation between the World Bank and the Colombo Municipal Council.
