Traditional Food Promotion Programme and Yoga Exercise Programme

To commemorate World Habitat Day, the Department of Indigenous Medicine of the Colombo Municipal Council, in collaboration with the Urban Development Authority, organized a Traditional Food Promotion Programme and Yoga Exercise Programme on 02^nd October 2026 at the Henemulla Housing Complex, Colombo 15.

Hon. Deputy Mayor of Colombo, Mr. Hemantha Weerakoon, the Chief Ayurvedic Medical Officer, Officials of the Urban Development Authority, Staff of the Department of Indigenous Medicine, and Residents of the Henemulla Housing Complex participated in the event.

The programme aimed to promote healthy lifestyles, traditional food practices and physical well-being among the residents of the housing complex.
